Ian West DIP, DBC PRINCIPAL
Ian was born in England and trained in all aspects of dance at the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in London and has worked continuously in musical theatre, television and film both as a dancer and choreographer.
Ian’s stage credits include: Cinderella Kings Theatre Glasgow, Pirates of the Caribbean Disney, The Blues Brothers UK tour, Hercules the Musical, The Golden Mickey’s, Disney Dreams, and Morty and his Madcap Musical, all for Disney DCL. Under Wraps, Monte Carlo; Moulin Rouge Ball, Newbury; L’Oreal International Trade Show, London; The Round House Gala, London; Aladdin New Theatre Cardiff; The Play What I Wrote UK tour; Barnum Devonshire Park Theatre; Jack and the Beanstalk Alhambra Theatre Bradford; The Boyfriend Studio Theatre London; Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Royal Opera House, Mephisto Riverside Studio, Cavalcade, Sadlers Wells Theatre and OVO Millennium Dome, London. Ian also had the privilege to perform for Her Majesty the Queen at the Opening Ceremony of the Millennium Dome. Ian is also an accomplished Gymnast, Acrobatic, and stilt walker.

TEACHING: Ian has worked for many years throughout the UK as a choreographer and teacher to those just starting out to professional level he now loves living and working in Glasgow. Ian is a permanent extended dance lecturer at Reid Kerr College and Dance Lecturer at Anniesland College,Glasgow, teaching full time dance students to NC, HNC and HND Level. Ian has also taught for Janice Marshall School of Dance, Stage Coach North and South and Dance Point. He has held Masterclasses for Motherwell College, Right2Dance and Y Dance, as well as teaching and choreographing for many schools though out the UK.
Rowan MacGregor DIP, LSC PRINCIPAL
Rowan trained at the Dance School of Scotland and The Royal Ballet School before graduating from the London Studio Centre in musical theatre and commercial jazz.
Rowan’s stage credits include One World Asian Tour, Millennium Show UK Tour, Spirit of the Dance and The Song and Dance Man. She also performed for Dolphin and Premier Cruise Line productions of Copacabana and Step in Time. Rowan has choreographed and performed in many corporate productions for clients such as The Royal Bank of Scotland, Land Rover, Wella and Aveda. She has worked as a choreographer throughout Scotland on productions of Cinderella Kings Theatre Glasgow, The BBC River Festival, Return of the Forbidden Planet, The Hot Mikado, Fiddler on the Roof, Rags and Come Fly With Me. As well as a number of youth shows including, The Wizard of Oz, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie and Sussiecal the Musical.
FILM & TELEVISION: The Karen Dunbar Show, STV; Fandango feature film, MTV with Starbeat and music videos Aashaa, as well as commercials for East Kilbride shopping centre and Arena Swimwear.
TEACHING: Over the past 9 years Rowan has taught at many leading UK College and theatre schools including; East London College, Centre Stage, London, Dancepoint Glasgow, Dance Base, Edinburgh, Reid Kerr College, Glasgow and The Dance House Glasgow. She currently teaches a wide range of students from those just starting out to professional level in both ballet and jazz for Scottish Ballet, The Dance School of Scotland, Janice Marshall School of Dance and Stage Coach, Glasgow.
